SES Career Workshop

This Year the SES is introducing a new event to its calendar – the Career Workshop! We’ve partnered with the UvA Career Centre to bring you an evening of personal exploration and career development.

The question is, how do we first approach finding a career? It is important to take a moment to work out what we would like in a career. The aim of the evening is to help students explore what inspires them, what their strengths are, how they can best present themselves, and ultimately what makes them valuable members of the workplace. The session will conclude with a discussion over how to formulate a CV that best presents you.

This session is not only useful for those soon to finish, but also for those taking the many important decision that arise during the studies, such as which major and minors to take, additional courses, and further study programmes.

The evening will be lead by Jetske Bijdendijk, a career advisor with over 15 years of experience guiding UvA students into working life.

Date: Tuesday 19th of June
Time: 19:00 – 20:30
Location: PC Hoofthuis

The price of the evening is €5,50. There will be some snacks and drinks. After the workshop we will head to Sanders for the Borrel.
