The debate about the issue of climate change is one of the hottest topics of the 21st century. The Kyoto Protocol, the Paris Agreement, ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and the election of Donald Trump all put the debate in the internatonal spotlights. Currently, it seems that we have finally reached a consensus: we need to do something about the rising temperature on earth.
How to solve the issue is a difficult question that might have multiple answers. Do we have to start by limiting our meat consumption? Should we close all coal-based power stations? Do we opt for nuclear energy or not? Is international cooperation required to save planet Earth? There are multiple roads that we can follow, but it is time to choose a direction.
For this pub lecture, we have invited multiple different actors with different perspectives on the issue of climate change. All the actors will pose their vision on how to tackle the issue of climate change, after which we will have a debate and Q&A session. By investigating different perspectives on the topic, we hope to create a better understanding of the issue and the possible solutions. This issue is unfortunately already full, but you can sign up for the waiting list in case someone cancels!
