SES Conference 2019

LinkedEU: Europe’s Place in the World – Global Issues and Foreign Policies

We are very excited to announce this year’s SES Conference, which will take place on 15 May. We will look into the EU’s influence on the global playing field in these times of increasing geopolitical competition from actors such as China and Russia. Furthermore, we will discuss the future of Euro-African relations, as well as the EU’s role in the Middle East.

The event will be held in the Keizersgrachtkerk, a beautiful venue in the heart of Amsterdam. Starting at 11, there will be an opening speech and two keynote speakers introducing the audience to the topic. This will be followed up by the first seminar round. After a little lunch break in the court yard of the church, we will have a second round of seminars, so that you will be able to explore two different issues. During the final moderated debate, the speakers and the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion on the central conference question. The conference will end approximately at 16:30 and will be followed by a Borrel at Lion Noir, where you will have the chance to discuss further on the topics with the experts in a more relaxed setting.

Mark the 15th of May in your calendars and enjoy an interesting, educational and exciting day with us! The speakers will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the Facebook event!
