SESMUN 2025

Every year, the Debate committee organises one of SES' biggest academic events of the year; the SESMUN. During this event, delegates discuss current issues and dilemmas. In 2025, the main topic was "Ethnic Terrorist Recruitment in Failing, or at-war States".

DEBATE TRAINING SESSION

The Debate Committee knows that debating and public speaking can sometimes seem a bit daunting; however, in order to make this more accessible, they also organise training sessions for those of us who are less experienced or just want to know more.

HISTORICAL SECURITY COUNCIL

Apart from the SESMUN, Debate also organises a second (usually) smaller event, like a Historical Security Council, but the nature of this event is subject to change. In 2025, the fall of the Berlin Wall was discussed.
